Roland is since 1970 an active member in the international music community. Roland worked in musicals, cabaret shows, pop, rock, jazz, latin and fusion bands and projects and consequently also teaches these styles. He played on big international Jazz Festivals like Northsea Jazz Festival.
Roland has performed and recorded with famous artists/ shows such as: "Dralion" - Cirque du Soleil, Jan Akkerman, Jeff Reynolds, Chet Baker, Candy Dulfer, Hans Dulfer, Thijs van Leer, Margriet Eshuys, Herman Brood and many more.
"OOR" , a major Dutch music magazine, called him "the busiest drummer in The Netherlands". Roland is the winner of the Dutch "Super Session Award 1995".
